About NADU

Springing from Los Angeles, Nadu makes brash DIY garage punk rock drawing heavily on surfy vibes. Nader is the solo singer/bassist/drummer/guitarist on record, and when playing live he is joined by Nadine Torres (The Groans) and Kenny Esparza (Kenny On The Moon). Multiple Tours and played shows heavily pre-pandemic, West Coast and Midwest clocking in at 60+ shows and routinely filling out small-medium venues in Los Angeles.

Inspired by the likes of Garage Rock Revival & Noisy bands like The White StripesFIDLAR & Bass Drum of Death, Nader (aka Nadu), an Immigrant Bangladeshi-American- had to sneak listening to Doors, Nirvana, Black Sabbath and 60s rock at an early age to avoid punishment. “Hid a bass guitar under my bed. Made the dream journey to USA, and went to UT Austin. Worked in business finance, and in 2017, left it all cold turkey to move to Los Angeles and became a professional musician..” A self-released EP 'Determinator' (mixed & mastered by Chris Allison of Lord Loud) made the rounds on tape and online starting February 2017 - which garnered Nadu some traction in places like Portland, Chicago and new hometown Los Angeles. Since then Nadu has been playing Los Angeles non-stop along with West Coast and Midwest hops - clocking in at more than 60+ shows. The 2nd EP followup 'Determinator II' was released in June 2020.

Previously released only on tape and Bandcamp in early 2017, 'Wasn't Even Mine' & 'She Knows Me' from the first EP 'Determinator' were re-released in fall 2020 on Spotify as singles. Unabashedly raw, they were recorded on a USB mic on Garageband.

Nadu is currently working on a full length due out early 2022.
